Who is behind the app

Einbürgerung Pro is built and maintained by Leonardo Cardoso, based in Berlin, Germany. Full legal contact details are in the imprint. For anything related to these terms, write to leo+einbuergerung@leocardz.com.

What the app is and what it is not

Einbürgerung Pro is a study companion for the German citizenship test ("Einbürgerungstest" / "Leben in Deutschland"). It contains the publicly available BAMF question catalogue (310 general questions plus 10 questions for each of the 16 federal states), together with translations, a study mode, simulations in the official 33-question / 60-minute format, spaced repetition for wrong answers, and progress tracking.

The app is not affiliated with the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF), the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (bpb), or any German federal or state authority. Passing a simulation in the app is not a substitute for the official exam. Only a result issued by a BAMF-authorised testing centre counts toward naturalization.

Question accuracy

Question content reflects the official BAMF catalogue at the time of each release. If you spot a wording or translation problem, tap "Report translation issue" in any question or write to me. Fixes ship in the next update. You are responsible for verifying anything you intend to rely on against the official source.

Free tier and the unlock

The app is free to download. The free tier includes the first 50 questions in study mode and one practice simulation. The full catalogue, unlimited simulations, spaced repetition, statistics, and reminders are unlocked by a single one-time in-app purchase ("Einbürgerung Pro Unlock"). The unlock is non-consumable, works with Family Sharing, and applies forever to the Apple ID that bought it. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.

Acceptable use

The license to use the app is personal and non-transferable. Do not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or attempt to extract the question catalogue or its translations beyond your own personal study use.

Availability

The app runs entirely on your device. There is no server I operate, so there is nothing I can "take down." iCloud sync depends on Apple's CloudKit availability, which is outside my control.

Refunds

The unlock is a one-time purchase from the Apple App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store refund policy. I do not process refunds directly.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top updates. The app keeps linking to this URL, so whatever is here is current.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you reside still apply. If you believe something here is unfair or unclear, write to leo+einbuergerung@leocardz.com and I will look at it.
